In a major action, the police in Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh has busted a sex racket running in a rented house. In this action, the police have caught 6 girls and 4 boys in objectionable condition. The female broker had lured these girls by offering them a huge amount of money. The female operator used to complete the deal by sending the girls’ photos to the customers on WhatsApp. Two of the girls caught are from other states.

Actually, the Kotwali police had received information from an informer that prostitution was being carried out secretly in a house. Immediately on receiving the information, the Dhamtari Kotwali police team, under the leadership of DSP Vinkeshwari Pinde, conducted a raid. Young men and women were caught red-handed indulging in prostitution by renting Sinha’s house located in Dani Tola, Ward Organic Manure Road.
6 women and 4 youths were arrested from the spot. Police registered a case against all of them under sections 3, 4, 5 and 7 of the Sex Trade Act 1956 for running immoral trade in a public residential area and calling women from outside for prostitution, and sent them on judicial remand. The woman operator caught in the sex racket has been caught in prostitution earlier also. After finalizing the deal with the clients, the female broker used to call the girls and call them to her. Two of these women are from other states. Interrogation is going on in relation to them.
9 mobile phones, objectionable material, cash of Rs. 1 lakh 90,000, totaling Rs. 2,22,000 were seized. DSP, Inspector Vinkeshwari Pinde, Sub-Inspector Vinod Sharma, Laxmi Kant Shukla, Sub-Inspector Santoshi Netam, Inspector Harish Sahu, Devendra Gajendra, Madhuri Sonwani, Constable Manish Chakradhari, Bhupesh Sinha, Mukesh Sinha, Lady Constable Saba Memon, Vandana Jaiswar had a special contribution in this operation.
