A festival in which the importance of lights increases a lot. Also a festival in which we knowingly or unknowingly cause a lot of harm to our environment and also spread pollution.
At a time when air pollution has become a matter of concern in the entire country. Adani Electricity has done something which is not only comforting but also reassuring for a better future.
On the day of Diwali, Adani Electricity supplied power to its customers in Mumbai completely with renewable energy for 4 hours. This initiative of Adani Electricity is a historic step in itself and a strong step towards the transition towards green energy.
Adani Group said through a press release that this is the first time in history that 30 lakh homes and other establishments in Mumbai, in which 1.2 crore Mumbaikars live, were supplied entirely from clean renewable energy sources. On November 12, i.e. Diwali, from 10 am to 2 pm, Adani Electricity met the electricity needs of its customers through clean energy sources like solar and wind power.
Achieving 100% supply from renewable energy is the first and important milestone in Mumbai’s energy transition, demonstrating that renewable energy can provide Mumbai with reliable and sustainable electricity at affordable rates. By lighting up Mumbai with renewable energy, we are not only celebrating the festival of lights but also celebrating a better and sustainable future.
