Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s younger brother Ramamurthy Naidu passed away at the age of 72. Ramamurthy Naidu was on ventilator for the last three days due to cardio-respiratory problems. He breathed his last on Saturday, November 16 at a hospital in Hyderabad.
According to reports, Chandrababu Naidu’s younger brother Ramamurthy Naidu was admitted to AIG Hospital in Gachibowli, Hyderabad after suffering a cardiac arrest at 8 pm on November 14. According to the hospital, he died at 12.45 pm on November 16. Ramamurthy Naidu’s last rites will be performed on Sunday, November 17 at Narvaripalle village.
Ramamurthy Naidu was a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA from Chandragiri constituency from 1994 to 1999. He played an active role in strengthening the party’s grassroots presence during his tenure. He is the father of actor and filmmaker Nara Rohith, who is an alumnus of the New York Film Academy.
Leaders of various parties expressed condolences on the demise of Ramamurthy. On the other hand, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu left for Hyderabad from Delhi as soon as he received the news of his brother’s death. Ramamurthy Naidu’s body will be kept at his ancestral home in Naravaripalle for the last rites.
