Corona cases have started increasing once again in the country. According to the Union Health Ministry, 614 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours, which is the highest number of cases found after May 21. News agency PTI, quoting Health Ministry data, said that the number of active cases of Covid in the country has increased to 2,311.
Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has held a high-level meeting regarding the increasing cases. During the meeting, he asked the Chief Secretaries and Principal Secretaries (Health) of all the states and union territories about the preparedness of the health facilities and gave instructions to keep monitoring.
New variant increased tension
The new variant of Coronavirus JN.1 has again increased the tension. Kerala is most affected by this, where 292 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, while 3 people have died.
According to the data released today by the Union Health Ministry, 308 new cases of Corona have been found in the country. 4 new cases of Corona have also been found in the capital Delhi. It is being told that the new variant of Corona can spread in Delhi also. Everyone has been appealed to be cautious.
Health Minister said – be cautious
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has asked all the states in the high level meeting to be cautious about respiratory diseases. ICMR Director Dr. Rajeev Bhal, NITI Aayog member Dr. VK Paul, former ICMR DG Dr. Soumya Swaminathan also participated in this meeting.
According to Health Ministry data, the recovery rate from Corona in the country is 98.81%, while the death rate is 1.19%. So far 220.67 crore vaccines have been given in the country.
