Adani Group Investment in Maharashtra: Adani Group will invest Rs 50,000 crore in the next 10 years to set up a one gigawatt capacity data center in Maharashtra. The group’s flagship company Adani Enterprises and the Maharashtra government on Wednesday signed an agreement to set up a one gigawatt capacity data centre.
This MoU was signed in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani during the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) going on in Davos.

Data center will be built in Mumbai or Pune
The company said in the statement, ‘This data center will be established in major places like Mumbai or Navi Mumbai and Pune. It will operate on renewable energy, which will promote green energy infrastructure in Maharashtra.
Group Chairman Gautam Adani has been emphasizing on renewable energy for a long time. He has described green hydrogen as the future of renewable energy.
20,000 people will get employment
According to the statement issued by the group, the establishment of the data center will provide direct and indirect employment to 20,000 people.
Such big projects have helped Mumbai move forward in the renewable energy sector in just a few years. Mumbai’s renewable energy share now exceeds that of major global cities.
Let us tell you that in the year 2023, Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd. has supplied 38% electricity to the consumers of Mumbai from renewable sources and the company wants to increase it to 60% by the year 2027.
