If we look at the figures, on December 18, a total of 78 MPs, including 45 MPs from Rajya Sabha and 33 from Lok Sabha, were suspended. Earlier last week, on December 14, 13 Lok Sabha MPs and one Rajya Sabha MP were also suspended. Whereas on Tuesday 49 MPs were suspended. This means that till now a total of 141 MPs have been suspended in both the houses.
Which MPs were suspended?

Why was he suspended?
India Block MPs were demanding Home Minister Amit Shah to give a statement in the House on December 13 on the security breach issue in Parliament.
In the Lok Sabha, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said, “It was decided not to bring placards inside the House. They are taking such steps out of frustration after losing the recent elections. That’s why we are bringing a proposal (to suspend MPs).”
After this, Union Minister in Lok Sabha Arjun Ram Meghwal Supriya Sule, Manish Tiwari, Shashi Tharoor, Mohammad Faisal, Karti Chidambaram, Sudeep Bandopadhyay, proposed to suspend other opposition MPs including Dimple Yadav and Danish Ali.
who said what?
On the suspension of opposition, MPs NCP MP Supriya Sule said, “What is happening in the country is very wrong. We just want to discuss the security lapse. We want discussion not just for our MPs, for BJP MPs, media, but the government is running away from the discussion.
The manner in which the members of Parliament are being suspended does not seem to indicate that the opposition has any justification in their mind. Those who are saying that INDIA block has no strength are living in fool’s paradise.
Ram Gopal Yadav, MP, Samajwadi Party
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, ” PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are touring across the country but are not coming to the House. This is an insult to the dignity of the House. Many MPs have been suspended by the Speaker of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, for the first time in the history of the country so many MPs have been suspended. They want to end democracy by scaring people.“
It is clear that they want an opposition-free Lok Sabha and they will do the same in the Rajya Sabha. Today, in solidarity with my colleagues, I also joined the protest but those who were present have been suspended for the rest of the session, meaning they want to pass their bills without any discussion. I think this is a betrayal of parliamentary democracy.
Shashi Tharoor, MP, Congress
Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav said, “More than 40 MPs have been suspended today. Yesterday also, more than 80 MPs in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha together were suspended. This is unfortunate for the democratic system. The environment we are seeing, where we are not able to express our views in Parliament, shows the complete failure of the government. >
Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Choudhary said, “This is nothing but anarchy inside the Parliament. They do not have even an iota of faith in the parliamentary system of our country. Therefore there is nothing but anarchy, anarchy and anarchy in Parliament.”
In whose hands is the police? It is under the Ministry of Home Affairs. What would have happened if he (Union Home Minister Amit Shah) had come to Parliament and given a statement for 5 minutes and said that we are taking action.
Farooq Abdullah, President, National Conference
Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said, “This government does not want to listen to the right thing. BJP should be asked whether they call it a temple of democracy. We all call it the temple of democracy in our speeches. With what mouth do they call it a temple of democracy, when they are excluding the opposition? If he comes to the government for the second time, Babasaheb Ambedkar’s constitution will not survive here.
Parliament has been completely invalidated. This is to outline the passage of the most draconian laws that will turn this country into a police state.
Manish Tiwari, MP. Congress
BSP MP Shyam Singh Yadav said, “Never in the democratic history of India have we seen so many MPs being suspended from Parliament. This shows that the ruling party has become very arrogant. They are so intoxicated with the greed for power that they have lost all their senses.”
