India’s largest FMCG company is making changes in the beauty and personal care business. The company said that the segment will be divided into two separate divisions – Beauty and Wellbeing, and Personal Care. New leaders have been appointed to lead these segments. These changes are being made by parent Unilever Plc. Will be according to the global category structure.
The company made new appointments
HUL has also appointed Arun Neelakandan. He will take over as the Chief Digital Officer of the company on January 1. HUL’s new MD Rohit Java said that currently, as the Vice President of Digital Transformation and Growth, Neelakandan has played an important role in taking the journey of HUL forward.
As Chief Executive Officer, Rohit Java is carrying out a major transformation which has the potential to take the group forward. This change indicates how the consumption of beauty products has changed.
Rohit Java had said in his first investor meeting that for some time I have been thinking only about HUL day and night. He had said that we have a very strong business. Our product quality is better than competitors. Our portfolio is strong.
Company will focus on digital platform
According to Rohit Java, some things need to be corrected. The first focus will be on preparing it for the future. He presented a blueprint on how customers will shop on digital platforms.
He further said that the company will have to transform its personal care business for a more youthful audience. This audience can be in urban or rural markets. And the company is working for this. According to experts in the consumer sector, it is time to leave history behind for a company which was formed about 100 years ago.
