IPL Auction 2024 is being organized in Dubai. This is the first time that the auction is being organized outside India. During this period, bids were placed on a total of 333 players, of which 213 are Indian and 116 are foreign players.
The 10 IPL teams had a total of 77 slots. In this, 30 foreign players got a chance to choose.
Mitchell Starc became the most expensive player in IPL history, leaving even Cummins behind. Mitchell Starc has become the most expensive player in IPL history. Starc has been bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for ₹24.75 crore. Australian captain Pat Cummins was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 20.50 crore. The base price of Cummins was Rs 2 crore. New Zealand cricket team all-rounder Daryl Mitchell, the third most expensive player in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction, has been bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 14 crore. He had kept his base price at Rs 1 crore.

Apart from this, 13 players have drafted their names with Rs 1 crore. But, the name of not a single Indian player is included in it. At the same time, with the base price of Rs 1 crore and Rs 75 lakh, not a single Indian player got his name drafted. But, 11 players have drafted their names with a base price of Rs 50 lakh.
