On Tuesday, January 16, Iran carried out attacks targeting the bases of terrorist group Jaish al-Adl in Pakistan. Confusion arose when Iran’s government news agency IRNA removed the news from its portal shortly after giving information about the attack. Pakistan informed late in the night that two children were killed and three others were injured in this air strike. Pakistan called it an “unprovoked violation” of its airspace and threatened serious consequences.

The reaction to this attack came from Pakistan late in the night. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued on social media, “Pakistan strongly condemns the unprovoked violation of airspace by Iran. Two innocent children were killed while three girls were injured in this attack. This violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty is completely unacceptable and has serious consequences. Pakistan has always maintained that terrorism is a common threat to all countries that requires coordinated action. Such unilateral acts are not in keeping with good neighborly relations and can undermine the trust between the two countries.”
What is the reason behind the attack?
Iran had attacked Iraq and Syria a day earlier, in which four people were killed. In fact, Iran is furious after the suicide bombing on the death anniversary of General Qasim Suleimani this month, in which more than 90 people were killed. The terrorist organization Islamic State had taken responsibility for this attack.
Iran’s state news agency IRNA said missiles and drones were used in the attacks in Pakistan. This attack was carried out by Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard. According to Iranian reports, this attack was carried out in Balochistan province of Pakistan.
Jaish al-Adl organization
Jaish al-Adl, or “Army of Justice”, is a Sunni terrorist organization established in 2012. It is operated from Pakistan. It is Iran’s opponent and staunch enemy. It has been entering the border of Iran many times and attacking and bombing the army there.
