Microsoft Corp is adding an additional key to its Windows keyboard to activate ‘AI Co-Pilot Service’. Devices with new features will also be introduced this month.
The co-pilot key will be set next to the space key. This is the first change after the amendment made by Microsoft in 1994. Then the Windows/Start key was added.
What will be the use?
With this feature, with the help of AI, users will be able to create images, write e-mails and create text summaries.
Announcing this in a blog, Microsoft’s Consumer Chief Marketing Officer Yusuf Mehdi said, ‘2024 is the year of AI. AI will now be easily integrated with Windows.
According to Bloomberg report, Microsoft’s hardware partners will demonstrate it along with Co-Pilot Key at the CES technology conference in America. With time this will become an essential feature.

But last year, Microsoft has reinvented its biggest products around AI tech, which can generate new content from huge datasheets.
These products include Windows, Office, Bing Search, security software as well as customer and finance products. In this work, a lot of help has been taken from GPT-4, which has been created by OpenAI. Microsoft has invested $13 billion in OpenAI.
