The body of a National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) candidate was found hanging in his rented accommodation in Kota, Rajasthan, but no ‘suicide note’ was recovered from the room. This is the 25th case of suicide by a student of a coaching institute here.
Farid Hussain (20), a native of Birbhum district of West Bengal, was preparing for the medical entrance exam ‘NEET’ in a coaching institute here for almost a year. He was living in a rented house in Wauf Nagar since July this year.
Rajesh Pathak, area inspector of Dadabari police station, said Hussain was last seen on Monday afternoon. When he did not come out of his room till 8 pm, his friends called him but he did not open the door. After this the owner of the house was informed who called the police. Police reached the spot and broke the door and found the youth hanging.
The inspector said, ‘Suicide note’ was not recovered from the candidate’s room and the reason behind his taking this step has not been known yet.’
