META and Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) on Tuesday announced a partnership under which small businesses will be trained to take advantage of digital commerce.
The objective of this partnership is to digitally train small business owners so that they can better connect with customers on WhatsApp through Meta’s Business and Technical Solution Providers.
ONDC will help increase business
ONDC will help these business solution providers to become Seller App. It will also bring them on ONDC network and help them run their business.
ONDC CEO T. Koshy said, ‘To grow any business, it is important to do marketing and reach out to a wide range of customers. Our partnership with Meta will not only elevate these businesses digitally but also enable them to connect with their consumer base far and wide.’
Digital training to 5 lakh MSMEs
According to news agency PTI, in the next two years, Meta will provide digital training to 5 lakh MSMEs through Small Business Academy. This initiative is part of Meta’s plan to train 1 crore small businesses in the country.
Sandhya Devanathan, Vice President, Meta India, said that the partnership with ONDC symbolizes the company’s commitment to support the government’s vision for Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI).
