Rajasthan Assembly Election Results: What are Postal Ballots?
A specific group of voters who are allowed to cast their vote through post. Through this facility, voters can cast their vote remotely by selecting their preferred candidate on the ballot paper and sending it back to the election officer before counting of votes.
Voters employed in essential services and not able to cast their vote due to their remote location have the right to cast their vote through postal ballot, including officials of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, other national railway agencies and media personnel who are “ Can be notified as “absent” voters.
