On Wednesday morning, three coaches of Chennai-Hyderabad Charminar Express derailed, due to which 5 passengers were reported injured.
According to NDTV report, the incident took place at Nampally railway station near Hyderabad. This is a terminal railway station, where trains end their journey. Fortunately, no one died in the incident.
The train passed the end point
South Central Railway (SCR) officials said that the incident took place around 9:15 am on Wednesday. When the train reached the station, it was moving at a slow speed and it went beyond the end of the platform, due to which the train overturned. Three sleeper bogies (S2, S3 and S6) derailed. According to officials, 5 passengers were injured due to the shocks felt after the derailment of the coaches.

Rakesh Kumar, Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of South Central Railway said that the train had reached Hyderabad from Chennai on Tuesday evening. In this incident, about 5 people standing near the door of the train suffered minor injuries. The injured passengers are being treated in a nearby hospital.
He said, ‘The train should have stopped before the terminal, but the train went ahead. An investigation will be conducted to find out the reason for this incident.
