British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is changing senior ministers of his cabinet, one after the other. On Monday, November 13, PM Sunak dismissed Britain’s Home Secretary (Home Minister) Suella Braverman, while the country’s former PM David Cameron was appointed as the next Foreign Secretary (Foreign Minister).

Why did PM Rishi Sunak remove Suella Braverman?
Now let us tell you why Rishi Sunak removed Suella Braverman from his cabinet? In fact, Braverman had recently accused the London Police of being pro-Palestine in an article, after which tension had increased. Initially, PM Sunak had decided to support him, saying that the Prime Minister had “full confidence in him” but that he did not agree with his comments. However, now he has been shown the way out.
Responding to his dismissal as Home Secretary, Braverman said he would have “much more to say in due course”. He said, “Serving as Home Secretary has been the greatest privilege of my life… I have more to say in the times to come.”
According to a BBC report, Braverman was offered a small post in the government, but it is believed that she will not accept it.
It is noteworthy that this is the second time that Braverman has left the cabinet post midway. Earlier, during Liz Truss’s government in 2022, she had served as Home Secretary, but she broke the ministerial code by sending an official document from her personal email, leading to her resignation. He was brought back into the role about six weeks later when Rishi Sunak was sworn in as the new Conservative PM.
What did David Cameron say when he became Foreign Secretary?
David Cameron has shared a lengthy statement on Twitter(X) about his appointment as Foreign Secretary. He wrote, ” We are facing a daunting set of international challenges, including the war in Ukraine and the crisis in the Middle East. At this time of profound global change, it has rarely been more important for this country to stand by our allies, strengthen our partnerships and make sure our voice is heard…”
“Britain is a truly international country. Our people live all over the world and our businesses trade in every corner of the globe. Working to help ensure stability and security on the global stage is both essential and squarely in our national interest. International security is vital for our domestic security… Though I may have disagreed with some individual decisions, it is clear to me that Rishi Sunak is a strong and capable Prime Minister, who is showing exemplary leadership at a difficult time. I want to help him to deliver the security and prosperity our country needs and be part of the strongest possible team that serves the United Kingdom and that can be presented to the country when the General Election is held.”
David Cameron
Let us tell you that in 2016, David Cameron left the post of PM after failing to keep Britain in the European Union.
