The dream of bullet train is now turning into reality: Railway Minister
He said that the dream of a bullet train is now turning into reality. The Railway Minister stressed that the Bullet Train Project should not be considered as a transportation and infrastructure project, it is a regional development project. Explaining this, he said that the bullet train runs between Tokyo and Osaka in Japan. There are five cities in between. Tokyo, Nagoya, Kubera, Kyoto and Osaka are five big economies in themselves, when a high-speed train connects them, then all five together become one economy.
Similarly, the first section built here is Mumbai-Thane-Vapi-Surat-Vadodara-Anand-Ahmedabad. All these economies together will become one economy. The convenience of high-speed trains is that any person can return to his home after working from one city to another.
